Make Saint-Émilion about the medieval village, its stories and the landscape around it. Leave room for lunch and a comfortable return to Bordeaux. A guided monument visit can be considered if it suits your interests and access needs.
Tastings are entirely optional. We agree the selected visits and transport in your personal proposal.

Tell us what interests you about wine and we can check a suitable estate visit or tasting in place of part of your Saint-Émilion village visit. We leave time to enjoy the day, with the return journey planned around the experience.

Choose the hotel before the route
Four nights in one Bordeaux hotel means no change of base. The exact address shapes your walks, dinners and station or airport connections. We check room access and luggage arrangements too.
Plan the last stretch into Saint-Émilion
Rail times cover the journey between stations, not the whole outing. Saint-Émilion station is below the village, so we plan the onward connection as well as the return. Its steep cobbled streets and any monument access need to suit your walking comfort.
Make room for the Cité du Vin, if you wish
The Cité du Vin is a cultural visit in Bordeaux, not a château visit. If you choose it, we replace part of your Bordeaux discovery day and check the ticket and opening arrangements. A non-alcoholic drink is available at the Belvédère.

How many nights do we spend in Bordeaux?
The example is five days and four nights, all in one Bordeaux hotel. Arrival and departure are travel days, with a Bordeaux discovery day, a Saint-Émilion outing and a free day between them. There is no hotel change. We can adapt the length and rhythm to your dates.
Can we enjoy Saint-Émilion without wine tastings?
Yes. We can focus your day on the medieval village, its history, vineyard scenery and lunch, with tastings entirely optional. A monument or estate visit is selected around your interests and confirmed for your dates before booking. The example does not promise a particular château or private access.
Do we take the train to Saint-Émilion?
We choose rail or road transport around your hotel, the day's visits and your comfort. Rail times are station-to-station; Saint-Émilion station is below the village, so the final connection needs planning too. The village has steep cobbled streets, and we check access before including a guided underground visit.
Is the Cité du Vin included in the Bordeaux day?
It is an option to discuss, not an automatic extra. If you choose the Cité du Vin, we replace part of the Bordeaux discovery day and confirm the ticket and visit arrangements. This cultural visit is different from a château visit, and a non-alcoholic drink is available at the Belvédère. Your free day remains open.
How much does this Bordeaux stay cost?
There is no fixed package price for this example. We offer Charm, Signature and Exceptional hotel styles and prepare a quote for your dates, room choices, visits and transport. Your written proposal confirms the total, inclusions and booking conditions before you commit. A planning-tool estimate based on your own assumptions is not a quote for this stay.
Can we add Arcachon or a day on the coast?
Yes, we can discuss a separate extension or a revised itinerary. Arcachon is not included in this five-day example. Your free day remains open; a coastal extension is planned separately. We agree the additional time, connections and cost before booking, with your arrival and departure plans in mind.
