These terms apply when you use the Chic Trip website and app, ask us for a proposal, or book travel services with us. "We", "us" and "Chic Trip" mean WANDERCHIC TRAVEL, SASU, a French company registered in Paris (RCS Paris 999 119 472), 50 avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France, registered with Atout France as a travel operator under number IM075260066, with a financial guarantee from Groupama Assurance-Crédit & Caution and professional liability insurance from Hiscox SA. Please read them; by using our services you agree to them.
We design tailor-made trips in France and Italy, primarily Paris and Rome: a personal itinerary, hotel, restaurant and experience recommendations, reservations and official tickets, guides, drivers and transfers, and support before and during the trip through the Chic Trip app and messaging. Depending on what you choose, we act as the organiser of a package, as an intermediary booking individual services on your behalf, or as a planning service only. Your written proposal says which.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. When you book for other people, you confirm that you are authorised to act for them, that you have given them these terms, and that the details you give us about them are accurate.
You can create an account with an email address and password or sign in with Google or Apple. Keep your credentials private; what is done from your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised. The app is licensed to you under the End User License Agreement and must be used in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. You can delete your account at any time in the app settings.
An enquiry, a call or a questionnaire costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Before you pay anything, you receive a written proposal with the price, what it includes, what it excludes, the payment schedule and the cancellation conditions that apply to each service. Prices are quoted in the currency shown on the proposal (usually US dollars or euros) and include VAT where applicable. A proposal is valid for the period stated on it; availability and prices of hotels, tickets and transport are only guaranteed once booked and confirmed.
Unless your proposal says otherwise, the price does not include flights to and from Europe, travel insurance, visas, meals and activities not listed, personal expenses, or tips. Where the Chic Trip app shows prices for optional activities, they are indicative until we confirm them in writing.
Payments are made by card through Stripe, or by another method we offer in writing. Depending on the service, we ask for a deposit when you accept the proposal and the balance by the date stated on it, or payment in full at booking. A booking is confirmed only when we have received the payment due and sent you a written confirmation. If a balance is not paid by its due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled under the Cancellation and Refund Policy. Bank or card fees charged by your bank are yours.
What happens if you change or cancel, and what we refund, is set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. The conditions of each supplier (hotel, airline, rail operator, museum, guide) are passed on to you in the proposal and prevail for that service. If we have to change a significant element of a confirmed package before departure, we tell you promptly and offer an alternative or a refund as the law requires.
You are responsible for holding valid passports, visas and health documents for everyone in your party, for arriving on time for the services we book, for behaving reasonably with suppliers and for complying with their rules. Names given for tickets and transport must match identity documents exactly; corrections after booking may cost money or be impossible. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, medical costs and personal belongings; we can point you to options but we are not an insurer.
When we sell you a package within the meaning of the French Tourism Code (Code du tourisme, articles L211-1 and following), we are responsible for the proper performance of the services included in the package, whether we perform them ourselves or through suppliers, within the limits set by that law. The financial guarantee and insurance named at the top of this page apply.
When we book individual services on your behalf without forming a package, we are responsible for carrying out the booking correctly; the service itself is delivered by the supplier under its own terms.
In every case, to the extent permitted by law: we are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control (strikes, weather, closures, transport disruption, epidemics, acts of authorities), for the acts of suppliers when we act as an intermediary, or for losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen when the contract was made. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including consumer protection law in your country of residence.
The website, the app, our itineraries, texts, photographs, maps and software are owned by us or licensed to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the itineraries and documents we prepare for you, for your own trip. You may not copy, resell or publish them. If you send us photos, reviews or other content, you keep ownership and give us permission to use it to deliver and promote our services; we only publish reviews with your agreement and with the name you approve.
Our website and app link to suppliers, maps, booking platforms and other sites we do not control. Their content and terms are theirs. Some links are affiliate links, as explained in our Disclaimer.
How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
We may suspend or close an account, or decline to provide a service, if these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are breached, if a payment is reversed without cause, or if the law requires it. You can stop using the website and app at any time; confirmed bookings remain governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. The version in force when you accepted a proposal applies to that trip.
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Before any court action, please write to us at contact@chic-trip.com; most problems are solved quickly that way. If we cannot agree, consumers in the European Union may use an approved consumer mediation service; we will give you the details of the mediator we belong to on request.
If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term at one point does not waive it later. These terms, your proposal and the policies they refer to are the whole agreement between us for your trip. Notices to you go to the email address on your account or proposal.
