A Food Tour in Paris, Done Right

A good food tour is the fastest way to understand a Paris neighborhood: the cheese shop, the bakery, the wine bar and the stories behind them. Here is how they work and how we book the right one.

Where to do it

Le Marais (the most popular, dense with great food and pretty streets), Montmartre in the morning (cheese, chocolate, a proper croissant), or Saint-Germain and rue Cler in the 7th for the classic Left Bank.

What to expect

About three hours over five or six stops: usually croissants and pastry, several cheeses, charcuterie, bread, chocolate and often wine. Most run about 100 to 160 euros per person including all tastings, enough food to replace a meal.
