One Venice hotel, time for the lagoon
For the landmarks, quieter neighborhoods and one island
The example below stays five nights in one Venice hotel. Four full days sit between arrival and departure, with a focused Doge's Palace visit, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro and either Murano or Burano. No hotel change, and space to enjoy the evenings.
The three budgets below cover this six-day, five-night Venice and lagoon example. A shorter or longer stay has its own quote.
Add a mainland Veneto chapter
For time in Padova, Vicenza or Verona as well
Tell us which city or experience draws you. We can compare a focused excursion with extra nights on the mainland, then work through transport and the hotel base. It is a separate choice, not another stop squeezed into the island day.
Mainland excursions and extra nights are not included in the Venice example. We revise the itinerary and price with you.
Choose the hotel by the whole arrival
We check the actual airport or station, boat landing, final walk and luggage assistance together. A canal-side address does not automatically mean a usable private dock. A mainland hotel can suit some plans, but its daily connections must be part of the choice.
Talk about bridges, steps and boats early
Tell us about walking tolerance, stairs and any mobility equipment. We review the specific hotel's access, the boarding arrangements and the routes between visits, rather than assuming a water taxi removes every step.
Give one island its own time
Choose Murano or Burano for the sample island day. We match public or private water transport to your budget and comfort, with time for lunch and the return. A second island or a workshop appointment is a separate decision.
More time for art, a gondola ride, fewer bridges or afternoons left free? Tell us what matters. We can replace a visit, adjust the transport or add time, then agree the revised plan and cost.

How many nights should we spend in Venice?
It depends on your arrival, departure and priorities. Our example has five nights and six calendar days, with four full days between arrival and departure. It leaves space for neighborhoods and one island without changing hotels. We also plan shorter and longer stays, with their own scope and quote; two nights should not be mistaken for three full sightseeing days.
Are the basilica, a gondola and both islands included?
No. The sample proposes a Doge's Palace visit and one principal island outing, Murano or Burano. St Mark's Basilica interior, gondola rides, a second island and additional museum admissions are optional. We can replace a visit or add time, then confirm the relevant bookings and revised price. Admission arrangements do not guarantee the absence of queues or security checks.
How will we get from the airport or station to the hotel?
We plan from your actual arrival point to the actual property. The proposal specifies the land and water segments, boat landing, final walking and luggage help. Some hotels have their own dock; others need a final walk. We confirm the route and access instead of assuming every hotel can receive a boat at its door.
Can you help if we have already booked a hotel?
Yes. Share the address, dates and existing reservations. We can plan the visits, restaurants, arrival and departure around what you already have, with the remaining arrangements and our service fee clearly separated in your proposal.
What about Venice's access rules, tides and closures?
We check Venice's current official access-fee calendar and any overnight-guest exemption procedure for your travel dates. We also review attraction arrangements, local notices and official tide forecasts close to your visit. The applicable steps and charges are confirmed for your dates, with the itinerary adjusted when needed; tide conditions cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Will we have help during our stay?
Yes. Your neighborhood welcome over coffee is included, and Fred is available 24/7 by message during your trip for any question or request. Your itinerary and reservations are in the app. Guides, boat services and any extra arrangements have the scope and price agreed in your proposal.
