How Many Days in Provence?

Three nights gives a first taste from one base. Four to five nights is the strongest first visit. Seven nights works when you want two distinct areas or a genuinely slow stay. Count nights, not calendar labels: arrival and departure rarely create two full Provence days.

The four-to-five-night sweet spot

This allows a market morning, a Luberon or Alpilles loop, one wine or heritage day and a flexible half-day. Staying in one base protects evenings and prevents every lunch from becoming a parking calculation.

Seven nights

A week can justify two bases when they create genuinely different days. It does not justify collecting Avignon, Nice, Marseille and every village in one loop.
