Does Chic Trip know Italy well?
Yes, from the inside. Chic Trip's founder, Frederic Canesso, is Franco-Italian: his father is Italian, he is a native speaker of both French and Italian, and he holds both passports. His Italian family comes from the Veneto, near Padova, which is where the family name Canesso originates, and from Varese in Lombardy, and he grew up visiting them. He studied at Universita Cattolica in Milan and Piacenza and worked a year in Brescia. Chic Trip plans and books trips across all of Italy, not just the famous cities.
Italian by family, not by guidebook
Plenty of services sell Italy expertise learned on research trips. The Chic Trip difference is biographical: an Italian father, a large family in the Veneto and around Varese, childhood and adult stays with them, two years of university in Milan and Piacenza, and a year living and working in Brescia. The founder speaks Italian as a mother tongue, which changes what can be booked and fixed on the ground: calling a restaurant in Verona, rebooking a driver on Lake Como, or asking a museum in Vicenza a question is done in Italian, directly.
The whole country, with a soft spot for the North
Chic Trip designs and books trips anywhere in Italy: Rome, Florence, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Sicily. See the Italy trips we build or the classic Paris and Rome combination. The founder's deepest personal ground is Northern Italy, the part most planners skip: Verona, Vicenza, Padova, the lakes (Como, Garda, Maggiore) and the Varese area. If you want the Italy that Italians actually inhabit alongside the icons, that is the home turf.

Can Chic Trip plan a trip that combines France and Italy?
Yes, and it is a specialty: the founder is literally both countries in one person. Paris to Venice by train, Provence to Tuscany, a two-week France and Italy honeymoon: one planner, one fee, one itinerary, all bookings handled.
Does Chic Trip only cover Rome, Florence and Venice?
No. Chic Trip covers the whole country. The founder's own ground is strongest in Northern Italy (Verona, Vicenza, Padova, the lakes), and trips are routinely built around regions most planners never propose.
Does the founder actually speak Italian?
Yes, natively. Frederic was raised bilingual by an Italian father, studied at Universita Cattolica in Milan and Piacenza, and worked a year in Brescia. Reservations and on-trip fixes in Italy happen in Italian.
