Your days, at your pace
Illustrative days, not fixed dates. Opening days, transfers and your preferences will shape the final order.
- Paris
- Amboise
- Chenonceau
- Chambord
Day 1: Settle into Paris
Paris
Begin with a proposed arrival transfer and a gentle introduction to the neighborhood around your hotel. Keep dinner nearby and the rest of the day responsive to your flight and check-in arrangements.
- Proposed arrival transfer
- Paris restaurant planning
Time for yourself: The afternoon is for recovery from travel, with a short walk only if you wish.
Day 2: Art and the Palais-Royal
Paris
Propose a focused Louvre visit, then lunch in the area and a short Palais-Royal walk. The visit format and admissions will be confirmed for your dates. There is no second museum planned for the afternoon.
- Proposed Louvre visit and admission
- Nearby lunch selection
Time for yourself: Return to the hotel or enjoy a cafe and the gardens at your own pace.
Day 3: A Paris neighborhood day
Paris
Explore Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Left Bank at an easy pace, keeping lunch and dinner geographically sensible. This lighter city day provides room to enjoy Paris before changing hotels.
- Left Bank route planning
- Restaurant selection and reservation requests
Time for yourself: Keep part of the afternoon free for a favorite shop, the hotel or packing.
Day 4: Paris to the Loire
Amboise area
Travel to your proposed Loire base near Amboise. We will compare rail with a station transfer and private driving before quoting the journey. Exact door-to-door travel time depends on the chosen hotels and transport; no château visit is scheduled on this transfer day.
- Proposed interregional transport and hotel transfer, mode to be agreed
- Four-night Loire base planning
Time for yourself: Settle into the new hotel, then take a short village walk if arrival time permits.
Day 5: Chenonceau and its gardens
Amboise area
Make Chenonceau the principal visit, with transport, entry and guide format to be quoted. Keep lunch nearby and leave the later afternoon clear instead of adding a second château.
- Proposed Chenonceau outing with transport and admission
- Lunch suggestions near the route
Time for yourself: Enjoy the hotel grounds or rest after the château and garden walking.
Day 6: Amboise and a slow afternoon
Amboise area
Plan a visit to the Royal Château of Amboise and time in the town, subject to confirmed admission. Lunch stays local. An additional interior visit is optional and would replace some of the free time, with price and walking reviewed.
- Proposed Amboise château visit
- Town and restaurant planning
Time for yourself: Spend the afternoon by the river, in a cafe or back at your hotel.
Day 7: Chambord and the country setting
Amboise area
Make Chambord the day's only proposed château visit, with admission, guide format and private transport to be quoted. Choose a focused interior visit and a short garden walk, then return to your base. A winery visit can replace this outing if you prefer fewer château interiors.
- Proposed Chambord visit, admission and transport
- Farewell dinner selection
Time for yourself: Leave the later afternoon for the country hotel and a relaxed last evening.
Day 8: Onward from the Loire
Amboise area
Plan your departure connection around confirmed rail or flight arrangements. A return to a Paris airport needs its own transfer plan and realistic buffer; an additional Paris night may be the better option for an early flight and would be quoted separately.
- Proposed departure connection, endpoint and mode to be agreed
- Onward-travel planning
Time for yourself: Allow a quiet breakfast if the chosen connection permits it.
