It is equally helpful to say what you do not want. You can love food without wanting formal service, several hours at the table or a special-occasion budget every evening. We do not treat the most expensive option as the natural upgrade.

For a longer stay, variety matters too. A neighborhood bistro, a market lunch and one more elaborate dinner can give the trip texture without making every meal an event. Those are planning examples, not a prescribed menu for every traveler.
Check the practical details directly
Before committing, verify the current menu, opening day, party size, reservation conditions and any important access requirements. If an allergy or dietary restriction matters, it must be discussed with the restaurant. An old review or a general menu description is not a guarantee that a kitchen can accommodate it.
No planner can promise every sought-after table. A good alternative should match the reason you wanted the first choice, not merely be somewhere with availability.
