Sometimes you do not need someone to invent a whole vacation. You have flights, a destination and a reasonable plan. One detail is stopping you: the right room arrangement, a connection with luggage, a family member's walking needs or how to add a few days around a cruise.

Start by describing that problem. We can assess whether Chic Trip can help and agree a scope before you pay for work. A specific request is not automatically a full Concierge engagement, but neither is a complete custom solution included in a free enquiry.

Separate the requirement from the preference

“We would like more space” leaves room for alternatives. “We need two separate beds” is a requirement to verify. “A charming building” is a preference; being unable to manage stairs changes what is feasible.

Write down what must be true, what would be nice and what can move. This prevents a beautiful suggestion from failing on the one detail that actually matters.

Send the facts that define the problem

• Your dates, travelers and comfortable budget for the relevant part of the trip.
• The arrangements already confirmed, including relevant cancellation conditions.
• The specific requirement and why the options you found do not work.
• Any fixed deadline, plus the parts where you remain flexible.

You do not need to send passport scans or payment-card details to explain the problem. Relevant booking details are enough for an initial discussion; sensitive information should only be supplied when required through an appropriate channel.

Three examples of a useful brief

A room arrangement: “We need two separate beds and a kitchenette. Here are our dates and nightly budget.” The task is to verify the actual setup with the property, not assume that a room name or photograph settles it.

An awkward travel day: “Our train arrival and next hotel are fixed. We have luggage and would like to avoid a rushed change.” The task is to examine the whole door-to-door sequence and the options available on the date.

Different needs within the group: “One person wants a museum; another needs more breaks.” The task may be a shorter shared visit, separate time or a different balance across the days, not simply adding a taxi to an overfull schedule.

These examples illustrate our approach. They are not published client stories or promises that every situation has a suitable solution.

Agree the work before the research expands

A focused service needs a clear boundary: what we will investigate, what the deliverable is, whether booking coordination is included and how much the work costs. If solving the initial problem changes the wider trip, we explain that before extending the scope.

Access needs, supplier capacity and sold-out dates can limit the options. We may need direct confirmation from a property or operator. We cannot guarantee suitability from a listing alone, and we will tell you when something remains unverified.
